Our Christmas Decor

I feel like the decorations this year are subtle and simple, but I love them! Sorry there are so many pictures - I had to give you the full view!

For those of you with archaic computers (you know who you are)!

Happy Birthday Kevin Yeager!

We wanna wish Kevin a happy birthday! Kevin is our brother in law - married to my sister Holly. Thank you for all you do for us and for your friendship. We love you!

What a fun weekend!

The long weekend was great. We got to enjoy a fabulous Thanksgiving Feast with Holly & Kevin and their family in St. George. We relaxed, napped, played games, watched a movie, and did a lot of eating! We also made it to Vegas on Saturday where our shopping adventures began at Town Square. Las Vegas' newest and largest H&M really hit the spot for me. Whole Foods and many more fabulous shops will open soon. Andy and I also hit Nordstrom, Zara, Trader Joe's, and In & Out Burger. The evening ended with an AWESOME UNLV versus UNR (Reno) basketball game. UNLV was victorious in this exciting and entertaining game! We had great seats too - thanks to the Grensings! On Sunday, the family (minus Laurie & Colby) went out for brunch at the Cracker Barrel in St. George and celebrated some birthdays early.

And, our latest addiction... Bubble Tea. This is a frozen beverage that originated in Taiwan in the 80's which is where I first experienced it and fell in love. We discovered a place in St. George called The Orange Peel and they sell the delicious drinks that come with tapioca balls or "pearls" in them. We LOVE them - my favorite is the Thai Coconut and Andy loves Mango!

We are thankful for...

Andy and I decided we would come up with a list of all the things we are thankful for as Thanksgiving is right around the corner:

1. Each other
2. Our health
3. Our home
4. Our families
5. Our jobs
6. Our new calling
7. Our safety
8. Our friends
9. Our love

We truly feel so blessed!

What I have been working on...

I'm pretty excited about the upcoming launch of SUU's graduate school web page. I didn't physically design it, but I essentially came up with the conceptualization and have worked on the project with the web designer who built it. We haven't officially launched yet but I'm giving you a sneak preview. Check it out at the URL below. Hover your mouse over the list of programs!

Andy's Rough Day

Yesterday Andy had a double-header with surgery!

1. He had a piece of metal stuck in his eye and went at 9:30 AM to have it drilled out. Yes, drilled out! Very painful process.

2. Then at 10:00 AM he went to the dentist for oral surgery. He had a baby tooth pulled and they dug through his jaw to his permanent tooth and attached a chain from the tooth to his braces. The chain will slowly pull the tooth down into position. I had this exact procedure done when I was 16, but unlike Andy I was put under anesthesia. Needless to say, he was really feeling some pain. He gets his stitches out next week.

He is on antibiotics, eye drops, and major pain killer. I think he'll survive, but I feel so bad for him and the double whammy he had yesterday!

Tagged!

I am a sucker for: hot artichoke dip, avocados, sushi, diet coke, pedicures, gettin’ my hair did, design and style magazines, Bingham Family Christmas parties and the traditional foods associated, and spaces that needs my decorating touch.

My Worldly Desires: To go to Chicago, to own outright a brand new Volkswagen Touareg, to have an endless supply of Stila lip glosses and eye shadows, to have a Nordstrom in Cedar City (he, he), and to be able to buy a new pair of Citizens of Humanity or A.G. jeans every month that don’t require alterations!

My prize possessions: Andy, my family, my friends, my wedding pictures and memories.

I will never wear______again: Chunky, wedge, platform shoes, a short hair-do, and fake fingernails. (But never say never because there is always Halloween!)

Things I Love: When my house is spotless and organized, cooking with Andy, checking things off my “To Do List”, being with Andy, Andy, Andy, Andy.

Things I Hate: Birth control, debt, deciding what to wear every day, the thought of driving to Salt Lake every week next semester for class in scary weather!

Randomness: I cannot wait until I am done with graduate school in April! I look forward to getting a tan next summer, planting tomato and basil in my garden, and having time to exercise!

I now tag Beth, Mia, and Dana (if you want to)!

Today's Post

Sorry the Halloween images stopped working. I reposted them so you can all have another laugh.

My birthday was great - thanks to all of you for the birthday wishes and gifts! I came home from work to flowers, a sweet card, and a beautifully wrapped....iPod Nano from Andy. We then went out to sushi at our new favorite Restaurant in Cedar City - Ninja! It was sort of a big deal to get sushi in Cedar. Next, we went out for ice cream and then saw the movie "Dan in Real Life". It was a wonderful evening!
