Because of my increased involvement with international recruitment at SUU, Andy and I had the opportunity to take 35 SUU students (mostly international) on a hike to Zions on Saturday. I'll be honest, I was a little stressed out about the whole ordeal but fortunately it went off without a hitch. We had students from:
Nepal
France
China
Ireland
Korea
Switzerland
Austria
Japan
India
Columbia
Hong Kong
And the good old USA
Here is the group on the bus on our way there:

We did the Canyon Overlook Hike. I had never done it before and we really enjoyed it.

Me with Bailu (China) and Eva (Hong Kong) - I love these ladies. They both work in the admissions office and I am so glad I know them:

Ladies from France, Austria, Ireland and America:

Frederic & Jean from France:

Jayshree & her daughter Vidhi from India - such sweethearts:

The fearless leaders:

Kana & Miho (Japan):

On the loose, shopping in Springdale:

It has been such a delight to get to know some of these students. I'm glad they're in my life. I am also so glad that my husband is willing to go on just about any adventure with me. He jokes that he lived in Southern Utah for about 5 years and never went to Zions, but since we've been married, we've been over 3 times.
