Thanksgiving 2010
Thanksgiving was filled with lots of fun this year. From a craft day to a kid's program and minute to win it games, there was never a dull moment.
Whippin' their hair back and forth.

Pennant Banner / Garland Tutorial
To make a medium-sized banner, you will need the following:
8 to 10 12x12 sheets of paper in coordinating patterns and colors
(You could make it with fabric too, but I've never done that)
Paper cutter
Ruler
Pencil
Glue Gun
Thin ribbon
Start with a 12x12 sheet of paper and fold in half.
Easy, right? This is where it gets tricky.
With your paper cutter, take your paper with the folded edge along the bottom and line up the bottom folded corner with the 9 inch mark along your cutting line and cut!
You will have 3 large triangles (2 of them connected and one not) and the two extras that you can eliminate or add in between larger triangles. It is cute either way.
Next, decide the order in which you want to arrange the different colors and patterns of your paper. Then you will use your glue gun to glue the triangles (especially those that aren't connected) onto the ribbon. The triangles shouldn't necessarily "slide" along the ribbon but stay in place. I line the triangles fairly close together. You can add small ones every couple of large ones or not.

Macy is 4 months old
Our little girl is growing right up.

She eats rice cereal.

She wears hand-knitted booties.

And she thinks she is a ballerina because she owns 3 tutus.
Macy weighs 13 pounds and is 23 inches long. She's still on the small side for her age but she is a very healthy and happy baby. She "sings" to us - her baby babbles are sung more than spoken. We love having little conversations with her.

I Melt
I can't even begin to explain how much I love this little girl. She is the most incredible blessing. I absolutely love being a mom to my sweet Macy Kate. Macy loves to lay and kick. She is so "obedient" (as my mom put it) about being swaddled. She is a good eater, a good sleeper and a good sport. I love her demeanor. Macy tried rice cereal for the first time last night and did so good. She likes to suck on her hands a lot lately. She smiles and melts my heart.Simply put, she's our pride and joy.
