Trip to Texas

We got to spend an extended Memorial Day Weekend in Texas with the Funderburks. We had such a nice time.

1. We visited the old custom shop where Andy used to work.
2. Andy went to a car show with his dad, brother and friends.
3. We visited Andy's great Amarillo friends.
4. We lunched at The Golden Light Cafe on historic Route 66 and browsed the antique shops.

5. Brenda hosted a Texas style BBQ complete with brisket, ribs, beans, corn and MORE. The food was as plentiful as the guests.
6. We got family photos taken at the Cadillac Ranch and they turned out great.

7. We laughed at baby and childhood pictures. Look how CUTE Andy is! He is the tall one.

8. On our way home, we stopped at Yogurtland in Las Vegas and enjoyed these yummy treats.

Couch-to-5K

Today marks the beginning of "Couch-to-5K". My friend Keri and I have been walking off and on all winter, but today we are going to step it up with a workout called Couch-to-5K where you gradually introduce running into your regimen. We are hoping to work up to a 5K sometime this summer and maybe a 10K or half-marathon this fall.

Weekend Visitors

Our first BBQ of the season - Amber, Nate, Natalee and Noah were passing through town and stopped in for burgers on the grill. Natalee got out her new bike and Noah got out his skateboard and we utilized the playgrounds at the school across the street. It gave me a whole new perspective on the value of having the amenities of the school so close by - kids love it! It was so fun to have them to enjoy the beautiful evening.

Zion

This week our office staff went hiking in Zion National Park. We hiked Angel's Landing. It was amazing and worth it, but CHALLENGING!

The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society

I was able to finish this book over the weekend and I highly recommend it. It was such a delightful little story and an easy read. Honestly, get it and read it! You'll be glad you did.

The Weekend

This weekend I got to attend Women's Conference at BYU with my mom and sisters. Brie couldn't go because they don't allow babies so we missed her. It was pretty inspiring and I learned so much about how I can improve. It was wonderful to spend the entire day with my favorite girls!

We also got to be there for Paxton's baby blessing. My dad blessed him and it was a really special day. He is such a cute baby! I was snapping pictures of him with everyone's camera but my own! Good thing he got some CUTE photos taken by Lindsay Jane Photography. To see more click here.
