
Did you know that today is the Winter Solstice, marking the shortest day in the year for the Northern Hemisphere? It marked the day with the fewest hours of sunlight this year. That means we are on the downhill! The seasonal significance of the Winter Solstice is in the reversal of the gradual lengthening of nights and shortening of days. Hooray!

Yes I did know that. I look forward to it every single year. Not because I like the day but because I hate the short daylight hours. I'm glaad that we are turning the other way and the days will start getting longer again. WOOHOO. Merry Christmas you guys!!
