Las Vegas Getaway

This weekend we went to Las Vegas for a getaway. We dropped Macy off at my friend Dana's in Las Vegas. She was crying and it was SO HARD to leave her but she went to sleep within 15 minutes of being there and was in good hands.

For Andy's birthday, I gave him tickets to Le Reve. So, we were off to the Wynn. It was an awesome show on the water involving acrobatics, dancing and amazing stunts.

Us before the show.

This is at the end of the show.

Then we went to dinner at Ruth's Chris steakhouse. DELICIOUS.

We picked Macy up and then checked in to our room at the Aria. It was very sleek and fabulous.

With a great view.

The next morning at breakfast, Macy was a little busy body.

We were lucky we made it out of there with only spilling a glass of water.

Look at the cute mini Tabasco that came with Andy's Huevos Rancheros.

This precious centerpiece made my day.

After breakfast we went exploring on the strip. First stop, The Cosmopolitan. What a fabulous place. Everywhere you looked there was something funky to check out.

Like a massive chandelier with a bar inside of it.

And this funky furniture store:

This was a bench with marbles and you sit on the round stones and you could slide around. It was a cool feeling sitting on it.

Next we went to the 3-level H&M at Caesar's Palace.

Also at Caesar's, we dined at Mesa Grill which is owned by Food Network's Bobby Flay. It was delicious. We had the rough cut tuna nachos. Tuna with cilantro and chili oil was almost like a salsa for your fresh-made tortilla chips. Yum.

Macy was diggin' the grub.

Exploring the Aria

Macy scored at H&M. Those khakis have sparkle and stretch in them!

Flirtatious eyes, or what?

Smash Burger was one of our last stops. It was a decent burger but I'm not dying to go back.

Macy was more interested in the napkins than anything else.

We couldn't go anywhere without everyone fussing over Miss Macy which we loved. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and loved the little vacay in beautiful weather. We ate at some great places, snoozed in our sweet room and shopped. What more could you ask for?
